The London Sunday Times revealed yesterday that F1 Williams team will announce signing Ralf Schumacher and CART driver, ALex Zanardi to drive for the team in the World CHampionship 1999 season. This was revealed by Peter Windsor, F1-Racing Magazine writer and former Williams Team manager (between 1991-1992).

According to Windosr, Ralf Schumacher had a contract with Jordan for the 1999 season too, but in the former half of the season, after performing poorly, Jordan's team owner, Eddie Jordan, told the German he will not retain his services for next year. However, writes Windsor, following a succession of good performances, several teams are interested in obtaining young Schumacher, Jordan amongst them.

Ralf Schumacher previously said he feels comfortable in Jordan and would like to stay there. However, according to Windsor in the Sunday Times, he cut a deal with Williams, which will see him in a much more competitive car.
