Gerald R. Forsythe has joined British American Racing as the director of the new Formula One team. Forsythe is best known for his team 'Forsythe Racing', which has lead him to success in the Champcar series. "Jerry Forsythe joining us makes the British American Racing Board much stronger," commentated Craig Pollock. "Jerry's lengthy expertise as an entrepreneur and team leader in the world of open-wheeled racing is a valuable addition to our Board. An added bonus is the fact that both the Reynard group and I have shared much success with Jerry in North America in CART racing with the Player's Racing Team and we are very comfortable working together."

Forsythe will also become a share-holder at BAR, along with his function as director.
