Ford denied today that they are planning to introduce the Jaguar name, which they own, into Formula One. The British newspaper 'The Guardian' reported this.

The paper stated that Ford will buy Stewart Grand Prix and enter it with the Jaguar name in 2001.

A Ford spokeswoman however denied any such intentions: "There is no official statement on the story and we categorically deny the newspaper report. We have no idea where the newspaper concerned got the story from."
