FInland's newspaper Turun Sanomat confirms today that Mika Salo is indeed left without a seat for the 1999 season.
Atlas F1 revealed last week that Salo's name has been replaced by Tora Takagi's on the Arrows pits in Melbroune. Following that, the Japanese press reported that, indeed, Takagi has got himself a seat this year. Now it's Finland's time to make the inquiries.
The Finnish newspaper contacted Salo's manager, Sue Greasley. She told the paper that, indeed, Salo is not driving for Arrows this season, and that Arrows will be making the official announcement later today or tomorrow. According to Greasley, Arrows and Salo had discussions on the matter over the weekend, but that neither side will comment on what has been said.
Greasley added that there are no immediate plans for Salo to join the Honda test team, as they only have one car now (which is driven by Jos Verstappen)
