Honda is currently testing with Jos Verstappen at the wheel at Magny-Cours. They are driving down the straight time and time again to get a good feel of what the downforce is, or does to the car, at top speed, during this three day test session.

The Honda Formula One entree, however, still has to be decided. The R&D department has requested nearly US$ 200 million in advance to get the Formula One project on track for 2000. The final decision is due in May.

Honda could choose to remain only as an engine supplier to Jordan or start it's own team. There has also been some speculation on Honda reintroducing a V12 engine, because it delivers more power, but on the other hand is less driveable and uses more fuel.
