Michael Schumacher completed the first day of testing after the Grand Prix of Brazil on the Maranello track yesterday. The German's programme centred on trying various wet weather (rain) tyres. In the morning, Schumacher tried various types of grooved Bridgestones in the morning and then switched to intermediates in the afternoon. Despite the morning rain, around a dozen tankers were used to wet the track artificially. There were no technical problems during the day. Michael Schumacher did a total of 134 laps with a best time of 1.07.115s on the wet track and 1.05.995s when it was only damp.
