This afternoon at the Fiorano circuit, Mika Salo carried out the shake down of the three F399 which will be used by the Scuderia Ferrari-Marlboro in the forthcoming Austrian Grand Prix.

The Finnish driver completed a total of 17 laps: 5 with chassis 191 (Irvine's race car), 5 with chassis 195 (his race car) and 7 with chassis 193 (T-car). Salo made also 5 practice pit-stops. His best time was 1:03.779.
