Tuesday October 26th, 1999 In a fax vote, the World Motor Sport Council of the FIA has approved the calendars for the 2000 Season. The main change made to the calendar, was moving the British Grand Prix to April 23rd, so it will not collide with the Wimbledon tennis tournament. This will be the first time in recent years that the British Grand Prix at Silverstone is not held in July. Another welcome change to the calendar is the fact that the 17 Grands Prix to be held next year will be evenly spread out between March 12 and October 22nd, each Grand Prix held exactly two weeks after the former one. The full 2000 calendar of the FIA Formula One World Championship can be seen at http://www.atlasf1.com/news/2000/features/calendar.htm.
