Friday June 9th, 2000 Mika Salo says that he is struggling at the moment because of badly bruised hands. Salo damaged his hands during last weekend's Monaco Grand Prix, as a result of the lack of power steering on his car, a feature that some other teams' cars have. Salo tested this week at Monza ahead of the next round in Canada, and despite completing 75 laps during one of the test days, the Finn felt uncomfortable. "My hands are still hurting," said Salo. "They are causing me some pain which hasn't made testing particularly easy."
