Jean Todt has denied the rumours that Ferrari will very soon be using Bridgestone tyres. He said he believed that his team and Goodyear can close the gap to McLaren. Goodyear will be using the new tyre next weekend, which is said to bring 0.6 sec a lap.
Ferrari has filed another complaint, together with Prost, against the McLaren team. Ferrari wants the FIA to investigate the possible use of the system which saves engine power when it is not needed and use it when it does. (The green button on the McLaren steering wheel.) This system is declared illegal by the FIA but could become legal next season.
The Benetton team have declared that they were very happy with the test Jos Verstappen did for them last week. However, he has to bring some money with him to land the testing and spare driver seat.
Verstappen does have funding from the IT company ICL but this sponsorship conflicts with another IT company Benetton already has.
