Alain Prost announced today, shortly after the Hungarian Grand Prix Qualifying session, that his Formula One Prost team has re-signed current drivers Olivier Panis and Jarno Trulli for the 1999 season. Panis has signed a contract for one additional season whereas Trulli signed with the French team until, and including, the year 2000. However, Prost said that while Panis was not sure whether he would want to stay with the team beyond next year, it will be the driver's choice and he would have an option to stay.
