Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo believes Ferrari will win the championship next year. He said: "We have been in contention until the last race in the championship for the second time in two years. The team did extraordinary work, and one thing is certain: we will win the championship next season. "We have scored 133 points this year, the most Ferrari has ever scored in a championship, so we are very happy about the season."

Their star driver Michael Schumacher is not so sure, he said: "I hope we will be competitive next year. Our biggest deficiency at the beginning of the year was the tyres; that should not happen next year."
