Two teams have yet to pass FIA crash requirements. Speculation is that Benetton, BAR and/or Arrows are hastily putting new chassis together for re-testing purposes. The respective teams are listed as unconfirmed with regards to passing grades.

Benetton has also been under some scrutiny with regards to their new braking system, Front Torque Transfer. Other teams have complained that the system is illegal due to anti-locking rules. Charlie Whiting of the F1 Technical Working Group reviewed the situation last week and gave his OK to FTT. However, teams may appeal the decision to the Australian Grand Prix race stewards as they have the ability to over turn Whiting's decision

After Damon Hill spoke up about the possible use of flexible wings in Autosport (UK) last week, the FIA has issued a strong warning saying that any team found to be using flexible wings could be banned. The flexible wings are considered to be moveable aerodynamics which are forbidden.
