Wednesday January 5th, 2000 In a surprise twist, reports emerged today ascertaining that Jacques Villeneuve and Dannii Minogue's 'Millennium Marriage' never took place. After almost every newspaper around the world reported on the private ceremony that took place in the Sydney harbour, with the world's largest fireworks celebrating the new millennium in the background - today Jacques Villeneuve's official website confirmed that, in fact, the wedding never took place. "Mrs. Barbara Pollock confirmed to the Site that the wedding did not take place," the site reports. The announcement quotes a letter from Mrs. Pollock, saying that, "We seem to have spent the last few weeks denying reports that Jacques and Dannii were to get married. Nothing seemed to work because now we get newspaper reports that they ARE married. Well, Jacques and Dannii are here with us and they are NOT married." Following this announcement, Atlas F1 contacted British American Racing's press department, at Edelman Public Relations, where a spokesman for the team confirmed the marriage never took place. "It was all pure speculation to begin with," he added.
